North Dartmoor Primary Care Network

The practices in the network are Okehampton Medical Centre, Chagford Health Centre, Moretonhampstead Health CentreBlake House Surgery and Cheriton Bishop and Teign Valley Practice.

Our clinical director is Dr Emma Sircar, GP partner at Okehampton Medical Centre.

We work together to try to improve services for all of our patients by working with local healthcare partners as well as community, voluntary and statutory services.

We provide additional services for our patients such as a pharmacist, social prescribers, first contact physio service and a free counselling service for our patients. We also provide Enhanced Access evening and weekend appointments to all the PCN patients.

For more information about the PCN or if you have any questions or comments, please email Kiran Bakhshi, Management Partner at Okehampton Medical Centre: kiran.bakhshi@nhs.net.

If you are interested in being referred to one of our additional services, please contact your practice in the usual way.

Enhanced Access

Patients in North Dartmoor are now able to make routine appointments at a GP practice during evenings and at weekends. The aim of the GP service is to make it easier for people to get an appointment at a time that suits them.

This scheme is an extension of the usual GP practice services, not a walk-in service. Patients still need to make an appointment if they wish to see a GP in the evening or at the weekend. Practices are working together to establish a service that meets the needs of the public.

The exception to this is the Mental Wellbeing Drop-in, which is a walk-in service.

If you are a patient registered at one of the practices listed at the top of this page, you will be able to book a routine evening or weekend appointment with any of the participating practices. Appointments should be booked with the participating practice.
