Welcome to Okehampton Medical Centre

Contact us online

Accurx is usually available Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. However, if we have reached our safe capacity for taking online requests, then we may have to disable it earlier in the day.

We are happy to deal with admin queries by phone, as it is often more efficient to do so, other than repeat prescription requests, which we would prefer you submit online where possible.
If the Accurx online form is unavailable, and you need to contact us urgently, please call us on 01837 52233, option 2 to speak to a Patient Services Advisor.

For anything non-urgent, please complete an Accurx form the next day.

If we cannot see you the same day that you contact us and you need to be seen, we may have to direct you to another service such as a walk-in centre or A&E.

We prioritise urgent requests and if not urgent, your query will be reviewed within 3 working days.

Local and NHS services

The surgery works in partnership with local and NHS service providers and groups.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
