Steady On Your Feet

People over 65 have a 1 in 3 chance of falling this year, and falls can often lead to hospital admissions. The majority of these falls can be prevented.

'Steady On Your Feet' is a campaign led by the NHS and local authorities to help increase confidence and reduce the risk of falls. Their advice, guidance and resources are designed for anyone worried about feeling unsteady on their feet. They aim to equip people with simple tips to stay active, independent and safe during everyday activities.

The Filo Project

The Filo Project supports individuals across Devon and Somerset who are socially isolated, many experiencing symptoms associated with moderate dementia, including memory loss.

They offer high quality day care for small groups of older people.

Each day is provided by a host, and is situated in the intimate setting of the host's own home.

At a stage of life where many older people find themselves often excluded, the Filo Project provides a time and space where clients can engage in valued and valuable social roles and connectedness.
